PROCEDURE FOR ADMISSION

  1. Registration forms will be made available in the School Office from 10th December 2009 till the last week of February 2010.
    Cost of the Registration form:
    Stds. III to IX - Rs.300/-
    Std. XI - Rs.350/-
    (Montfort students who are seeking admissions to Std. XI Rs. 100/- only)
    To obtain the Registration form, the above amount may be paid in cash(if in person) or by post with a requisition letter and D.D in favour of  Principal,Montfort School payable at any bank in Yercaud. You may also download the Registration form from our website and the required D.D sent along with the filled up Registration form.
  2. Duly filled up Registration form should reach the school office on or before February 20, 2010.
  3. Registration forms are not transferable
  4. Normally admissions are done only for Stds. III and XI. However according to the availability of seats, a few admissions are done in other classes as well.Admission is done for boys to Stds.III to IX & XI and for girl students to Stds.III to IX and Std.XI.
  5. Applicants should include 2 self addressed, sufficiently stamped long envelopes and a copy of Birth Certificate along with the registration form.
  6. Incomplete Registration forms will be rejected.
  7. There will be an Entrance test for the eligible candidates during the 2nd week of March 2010. All the applicants should take the exams which will be for a duration of 1 hour and 30 minutes only. There will be 3 areas wherein students will be separately evaluated for 30 minutes each viz., Maths, English and Science. The evaluation questions will be such that any student who is reading either of the following streams will be able to answer them without much difficulty ( Anglo- Indian Board, Tamil Nadu State Board, Matriculation, C.B.S.E., I.C.S.E )
  8. Selected candidates will receive detailed information regarding the admission procedure, course of study, fee schedule etc. If selected all the certificates required, must be submitted and the fees must be paid at the time of admission.
  9. Students are requested not to change their second language studied in the previous class/school,as we have to get an exemption from the Government for the same. However, those candidates who would like to change their second language, are requested to prepare for the same at home, prior to the entrance exam. A very simple test will be conducted in addition to the subjects mentioned in No.7 and 10. Those who fail to qualify in language paper will have to continue with the second language studied in the previous class (Tamil/Hindi/French) if they are admitted with an undertaking.Even those students who qualify for the change of second language will be shifted back to the second language that they have studied earlier, if they fail in any of the language examinations starting with First Midterm, Quarterly, Second Midterm and Half Yearly Examinations. An undertaking to this effect will be signed by the parents and the student. Those who did not have a second language in the previous school are not eligible for admission 'Exemptions will be made only for foreigners' (It is not applicable for Indians holding foreign passport or Green Card)
  10. Admission to Std. XI
    Admission to Std.XI for boys and girls will commence in February 2010. Those seeking admission for girl students are requested to contact the Principal in person regarding the same. Registration forms will be issued from the 1st week of February 2010. Those desirous of admission to Std.XI may apply with attested copies of their Std.X marks for the Quarterly and Half yearly examinations. Attestation may be done by the Principal / Headmaster of the school last studied or by any I.A.S / I.P.S Officer or by the local Parish Priest.
