Teaching is imparted in such a way that the Montfortians do not need a private tuition if they are attentive in class and meticulous in their daily class work. However in the case of slow learners and if a student is extremely weak in a particular subject / subjects parents may request the Principal for extra coaching. However this extra coaching is given under the guidance of experienced teachers (Stds III to IX). This requisition in writing should be done within 30 days of the re-opening of the school for the academic year. Such requests will not be considered at a later period.

For Standard X the students are divided into 2 categories. Weak students who require additional assistance and guidance by their respective subject teachers. The other category will comprise of students who excel in studies. With a little extra coaching and motivation they are capable of bringing laurels for the school in the form of state Ranks.

The Special Coaching classes for the Higher Secondary students named ‘RACE’ (Revision for Annual and Coaching for Entrance) are organized by a group of specialists from outside. Those who wish to join the programme may do so. These coaching classes also help students to face entrance examinations at various levels.
